Acne Scar reduction
Acne scar reduction can be obtained using Erbium YAG laser. The results can be better if we do subcission of bigger scars and do chemical peeling 3 or 4 times before the laser treatment. The procedure is done under local anaesthesia. First the shoulder of each scar is cut and then the whole area is treated. Finally feathering of the treated area is done. The procedure may be repeated after 6 months.
Oral isotretinoin is absolute contraindication for laser skin resurfacing. It damages the function of skin appendages – impair skin ability to reepithelisation
