Corns are caused by pressure or friction on skin. A corn is thickened skin on the top or side of a toe, usually from shoes that do not fit properly. In laymens language any painful hard indurated lesions over the sole of feet they call it as corn. But they are actually plantar warts. A plantar wart is caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) occurring on the sole or toes of the foot. Plantar warts are usually self-limiting, but treatment is generally recommended to lessen symptoms (which may include pain), decrease duration, and reduce transmission.

Corns Treatment Process
Plantar warts are treated by occlusive dressing with high concentrated salicylic acid and the lesion debrided every third day till it becomes very thin and narrow ideally for laser treatment. It is finally removed either by Co2 laser or Nd YAG laser.
Result
Results are excellent even in difficult to treat cases by other treatment modalities.
Maintain
There is no need for any maintenance as the lesions completely recoverable with the treatment.
